So, as I mentioned in my other post, I finally was able to get my hands on the Star Wars collection from Covergirl. Well, some of the collection at least. Today I have the mascara to talk about.

So the mascara isn’t a unique LE product, it’s actually the Super Sizer mascara that was released earlier this year. The only difference is the packaging, which is about as lame as the lipstick packaging. The mascaras have one of ten different sayings. You can also buy one of two versions. A light side, which is waterproof, or a dark side. The dark side one isn’t waterproof. Both sides come in the same shade, very black. The tube I got had the saying “I will finish what you started.” and was from the dark side “collection”.

Like I mentioned, this isn’t actually a LE product, just re-packaging, but since I’ve never used or reviewed the Super Sizer mascara I figured I’d go with it. The wand is very spikey and isn’t very dense. The product itself has a slightly unpleasant smell, but it does go away after the product dries. The formula isn’t super wet, but it’s also not too dry either. It applies easily and I had almost no clumping issues.

Let’s look at some before/after shots.

Only thing I’m wearing is foundation that decided to find every dry patch and cling to it. My lashes aren’t curled or have any product on them.

As you can see, the mascara does give a bit of length and a tiny bit of curl. Now, today was probably the worst day for me to test run a non-waterproof mascara because my allergies were acting up all day and I had some super watery eyes. I have to say, this mascara didn’t really budge from that. I had no issues with flaking and it stayed pigmented and fanned out until I took my makeup off. The only downside is the smell of the product, but that eventually goes away.

Pros: Pigmented, gives length, gives a curl. If you don’t have naturally curly lashes, I’d suggest curling them just to be safe.

Cons: Weird smell

The Super Sizer mascara from Covergirl is currently part of the regular line, but if you want the themed packaging, you’ll have to get it soon. This product can be bought wherever Covergirl is sold and retails for about $7.

Stay Beautiful!
