So today I’m going to take a look at my favorite highlighters!
So, I have three of my favorite highlighters to share with you. As you can see, one of them isn’t technically a highlighter, but trust me on this.
I’m going to do a quick overview of the True Match Lumi in Ice, simply because I’ve reviewed it in depth before.
The gist of it is that Loreal puts out stuff in the True Match line based on undertones. They have lovely products and it makes me happy to see things clearly marked and designed for people with different undertones. I saw reviews online about the shade Ice and how it was too stark and chalky, but it was being reviewed by people with warm complexions. It’s not meant for those people, it’s meant for people like me. The cool toned that want to shine bright light a diamond. This is a great highlighter, even though it is a bit glittery.
The next one is a cream highlighter from the indie brand Life’s Entropy. I picked up the shade Nebula at the same time I picked up a white foundation mixer and I have zero regrets. It’s a very creamy product that is soft and easy to work with and blend out. You don’t need much to achieve a nice glow and since it’s a cream formula, you’re not going to be showcasing any dryness on your face with this. I like to use it under my foundation for a nice subtle glow from within.
This last one is technically an eyeshadow, but if you haven’t heard, Kat VonD’s Thunderstruck eyeshadow is a wonderful highlighter. Like, out of this world sheen and shimmer. It’s not chunky, but a little goes a hell of a long way. It gives the most gorgeous pearl effect on the face, but it is intense. If you want to be a disco ball of glowy wonderfulness, you need this in your life. Just look at the picture below. I used Thunderstruck on my cheekbone and BAM that was some glow.
I also wanted to throw an honorable mention out there. Shimma Shimma from Makeup Geek is another eyeshadow that is a wonderfully beautiful highlight. I didn’t include it my tops because I quite often forget to reach for it, but it is gorgeous. It’s also inexpensive and could be a great alternative to Thunderstruck.
Hope you guys enjoyed my top highlighters. Are there ones that I missed that you think should be included or I should try? Let me know!
As always, stay beautiful.
