Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Lipsticks – Firebird

1

I picked up one of the new Urban Decay lipsticks. I grabbed the shade Firebird from the line and have given it a nice test run. Check out my video for my thoughts or check after the jump!

So, let’s start off with a swatch of this gorgeous lip color! Firebird is a bright fuchsia with blue micro-shimmer in it. The micro-shimmer is really hard to capture on camera, but it’s quite noticeable in person.

There isn’t a wear time claim on this, but UD does say for long-lasting wear you can pair it with one of the matching lip liners. I didn’t and it lasted quite a bit. This product does transfer, but once it sets, it stays on very well. I wore it for 8 hours straight with only one touch up in the middle of the lips. It leaves behind a nice stain and fades nicely so it doesn’t look bad. I didn’t have issues with it slipping into my lipline either.

The texture is quite creamy and slides on the lip well, without too much extra slip. It wears comfortably and isn’t drying. Since it’s not a matte, you also don’t have to worry about extra flakes making a mess of your lips.

My only complaints are with the packaging. The packaging feels incredibly cheap. It’s like a standard plastic bullet that has a bit of a snap closure. This normally wouldn’t bother me, but the other UD lipsticks ┬áhave a nice weight to them and feel nice in the hands. These feel very cheap and rushed.

These lipsticks retail for $18 and can be found at Sephora, Ulta, and on Urban Decay’s website.

Stay beautiful!
