Hello! I have a review of one of the new products from Wet n Wild for summer. It’s their Mega Glo sticks and they’re absolutely awesome! Click play above to watch my quick review of them or hit the continue reading to see the full review.
So, I grabbed these beauties at Walgreens a few weeks ago and fell in love instantly. Wet n Wild claims that they are a creamy multi-purpose pigment and I have to agree for the most part. They are a bit stiff in the tube, but they can be used for a ton of different things. I find them great for cream blush and highlight. I grabbed the shades Marigold Round (silver) and Light Up My High-Biscus (coral), but there is also a gorgeous bronze shade called Carnational Anthem. On people with fair skintones, Marigold Round is a wonderful highlight, but might pull on the ashy side for people with deep skintones. Light Up My High-Biscus could be a gorgeous warm highlight on deep skintones, as well as Carnational Anthem. If you’re looking to try out cream products but don’t want to break the bank, I highly suggest getting these. If you don’t like them for that purpose, you can always use them as shadow sticks!
These go on a bit stiff, but blend out well with a damp beauty blender. They can be worn on top of foundation or under it. If you put it on top of foundation, I suggest dotting it on and blending it out with a finger or beauty blender. If you want to use them on your eyes, I suggest applying them with a brush because they’re quite large. If you have oily skin, these might not work the best on you as they do have some slip to them, but if you have dry skin, these are going to be a wonderful alternative option instead of piling more powder on.
The downside is that the packaging is a bit on the cheap side, but it is a cheap product, so I’m not really upset about it. When you pay less than $5 for a product, something is going to be lacking. I’m just glad it’s the packaging.
Let’s take a look at the pretties and the swatches!
